★★★☆☆

Barry Way is a mostly unsealed road the links the town of Jindabyne in NSW to Suggan Buggan in Victoria (110 km). It passes through the lower part of Kosciuszko National Park and upper reaches of the Alpine National Park. The road was well graded and in good condition when I visited, although it can be narrow in places. Keep an eye out for brumbies (wild horses) - I spotted a few on my trip, some of which were on the road. Note that this is a seasonal road, being closed in winter and early spring.

There are a number of campgrounds and picnic areas along the way, especially along the Snowy River. All of the places I stopped at had good facilities with picnic tables and toilets. The historic schoolhouse in Suggan Buggan (built in 1865) is very interesting to see, and for those continuing south, Limestone Road to Omeo or Gelantipy Road to Buchan are great options to continue the journey.
