Thirlmere Lakes are a series of five ancient freshwater lakes, located near Couridjah, south west of Sydney. The Thirlmere Lakes Walking Track is a loop that circles three of the lakes - Lake Gandangarra, Lake Werri Berri and Lake Couridjah. The track is level and easy to walk, mainly through the open sclerophyll forest, with occasional glimpses of the lake. Note that the section between Dry Lakes Road and Couridjah Picnic Area is via the vehicular Slades Road. There are two picnic areas along the walk at Lake Couridjah and Lake Werri Berri, both of which have picnic tables, barbecues and toilets.
