Bulcamatta Falls is a small waterfall located in a small grotto reached from Burralow Creek Campground near Bilpin in the lower Blue Mountains. The area was first explored in 1804 by George Caley, a botanist in the employ of Sir Joseph Banks. Carley with a small group of convicts explored the area over the course of two weeks, finding the terrain challenging, as evidenced by the names they gave - Devils Wilderness, Dark Valley, Dismal Dingle. The Burralow Swamp was one of the very first lands granted, namely to retired British Army Lieutenant Bowen in 1828. Bowen established a farm here trying to grow rice. There is still evidence of the irrigation canals that can be seen near the present day campground.

The walk to Bulcamatta Falls begins at the western end of the campground and follows the alluvial flats through tall forest, not far from Burralow Creek. The track transitions from the eucalypt forest to a temperate rainforest in the shaded gorge of the final section of the walk. Here the walk ends at the grotto where Bulcamatta Falls is located.

This was an easy and delightful walk. There are camping and picnic facilities at the start of the walk. Note that both access roads (Burralow Trail and Patersons Range Trail) require a 4WD.
