The Camooweal Caves are a series of caverns created by water dissolving the soluble dolomite of the Barkly Tablelands. There are dramatic sinkholes up to 75 m in depth that can be viewed on a short walk to the Great Nowranie cave. Entry to the caves is not permitted.

The picnic area at the nearby Nowranie Waterhole has a number of picnic tables located on the banks of Nowranie Creek. There are no other facilities in the park. Access to Camooweal Caves is via unsealed roads which can become slippery when wet.
