Fraser Island

This was my first major trip in my brand new 4WD. My family and I began our trip with a short barge crossing from Harvey Bay, Queensland, to fabulous Fraser Island. We headed straight for beautiful Central Station with its crystal clear creeks and lush jungle. On to the blue waters of Lake McKenzie, we enjoyed a dip in the pristine waters and had our first encounter with the island's resident dingos.

From the centre of the island we headed south to Eurong Beach Resort and Dilli Village. A dash up Seventy Five Mile Beach brought us back north to Happy Valley, where we then ventured further north to Eli Creek, Cathedral Beach and Indian Head. We marvelled at the sights on this island and promised that one day we would return.
