NSW Wanderings
Exploring the less travelled roads of NSW.
Dad and I took this trip to explore places we had never visited before in NSW. We began our journey in the Alpine section of Barrington Tops NP. Taking the 4WD tracks, we headed north to Hanging Rock, Oxley Wild Rivers NP and New England NP. Some of these tracks were incredibly difficult, not having been used for a long time, judging by the re-growth.
After testing our luck on the sapphire fields of Glen Innes, we headed west, stopping off to explore multiple National Parks - Kings Plains NP, Mount Kaputar NP, Warrumbungle NP and Coolah Tops NP.
Still on back roads, dad and I headed south to the Snowy Mountains, with the first stop in Brindabella, then Blue Waterholes before taking the 4WD track behind Talbingo to Cabramurra. On to Guthega, where I took a walk to one of several alpine huts in Kosciuszko NP, before our return home via Canberra. A truly epic journey on the back roads of NSW!
