4WD treks on the South Coast and Victorian Alps.
This was Veronica’s first long camping trip. We began our trip heading south to Deua NP on some steep 4WD tracks. After an overnight camp by the Deua River, we spent the day visiting the Bendethera Caves, exploring Central Tilba, sampling the cheese at Bega and enjoying a delicious seafood dinner at the Merimbula RSL club.
After seeing Eden, we took to the hills, visiting Errinundra NP and Snowy River NP on the Deddick Trail. High in the mountains, we escaped the heat as we explored Dog’s Grave, Mt Hotham and the lavender farm at Harrietville. After a quick trip to Mt Buffalo and Mt Beauty, we headed to NSW to Kosciuszko NP.
We relaxed in the last days of our trip with a swim in the thermal pool of Yarrangobilly, a visit to the caves at Blue Waterholes and an interesting tour of the Deep Space Tracking Station at Canberra.
