Waterfall Loop
Grade 3
Lawson, NSW
3.1 km (1.5 hrs )
★★★☆☆
This historic track is one of the oldest in the Blue Mountains, dating back to the late 19th century. The track follows Lawson and Cataract Creeks, with the highlight being the four waterfalls that you visit along the trek - Adelina, Junction, Federal and Cataract Falls. The waterfalls are all very small, but each has its own unique character and are worth seeing.
While a pleasant walk, I preferred the Terrace Falls track further down the valley near Hazelbrook that I had completed earlier in the morning. The lush green rainforest of that trek was more impressive than the drier, open forest of the Waterfall Loop.
