Yarrangobilly Caves
Yarrangobilly Caves, NSW

★★★☆☆
One of the best things at Yarrangobilly Caves is the natural spring fed thermal pool. At a constant 27 degrees in temperature, the pool is a great place to spend a few hours. The pool is open from dawn to dusk, and if you arrive early as I did, you may even have the place to yourself (with a few swamp wallabies for company)!
The track down to the thermal pool is quite steep, so the walk along Yarrangobilly River is a pleasant alternate route back to the carpark. This walk follows the banks of the Yarrangobilly River before heading up a less steep valley to exit near the Glory Hole Caves. If you have purchased tickets for the self-guided South Glory Cave, head through the impressive cave, otherwise continue to exit back on to the road that heads to the carpark and complete the loop.
