Macintyre Falls is located in Kwiambal National Park in northern New South Wales, close to the Queensland border. My dad and I visited the falls as part of our camping tour of New South Wales. The falls can be viewed from the lookout that overlooks the large pool at the base of the falls, or by descending to the rock pool via a short but steep track.

The picnic area at the carpark and lookout is also the starting point for the longer Slippery Rock walk, that heads east and down to the Macintyre River. There were two campgrounds in the national park, and my dad and I stayed at Lemon Tree Flat, where I also did the walk to the impressive Dungeon Lookout.
