★★★☆☆
Stenhouse Bay was the southernmost settlement on Yorke Peninsula. Together with the nearby Inneston, the former gypsum mining town was once Australia’s primary source of gypsum for plaster and cement. While mining ceased in 1970s, the heritage-listed jetty and old mining implements that are visited on this short walk are a reminder of the once thriving operations. The area is now part of the Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park, with its spectacular coastline, shipwrecks (over 40 in the region) and lighthouses.
