★★★☆☆
The historic Inneston village was once a thriving gypsum mining town, operating from 1913 to 1930. The Inneston Historic Walk is a 2 km track that loops through the town, with interpretive signs along the way that tell the story of this once close-knit community.
Home to around 200 people during its peak, Inneston was completely self-sufficient, having its own school, post office, bakery, general store and tennis court. Some of the former heritage cottages have been restored and are available for hire. You can also walk the 4 km along the Thomson-Pfitzner Plaster Trail to Stenhouse Bay.
