Rawson Falls
Boorganna Nature Reserve, NSW
5.5 km (1.5 hrs )
★★★★☆
This was the second waterfall that my dad and I visited on the same day on our trip to Queensland. Unlike the walk to Ellenborough Falls, the walk to Rawson Falls was a lot more challenging, involving quite a long walk through the rainforest, down into the valley to the base of the falls. While there was a lookout about halfway to the falls, the best views by far were from the base of the falls.
Information signs along the way made for an interesting walk, and the dense canopy of the rainforest made for a pleasant and shaded walk, even on the hot day in summer. There is a picnic area with tables and toilets close to the carpark at the start of the walk.
