This was my second walk in Balmain, having previously come here in 2016. This time around I did a much longer walk, beginning at Lewisham in Sydney's inner west, and following the harbour shore to Balmain East. It is wonderful that most of Sydney Harbour's foreshore is accessible to the public, providing for a stunning setting to some very pleasant walks.

There is much to see in these now gentrified inner city suburbs, including the historic Hawthorne Canal, Iron Cove, the former Balmain Power Station, the heritage listed Dawn Fraser Baths, Ballast Point Park and Mort Bay. A very pleasant and interesting walk and a great day out.
