★★★☆☆

Shaped like and anvil and topped with an actual blacksmith's anvil, this rock outcrop near Perry's Lookdown offers spectacular views of the western section of Grose Valley. The lookout is reached via a short and easy track from the carpark and picnic area. There is even a chair halfway that offers a place to sit and enjoy the stunning views.

An even shorter track from the picnic area leads to a large sandstone overhang that has been scoured and shaped by wind to form the Wind Eroded Cave. Both of these sights are well worth seeing and the beautiful winter flowers, especially the Golden Wattle makes this location even more beautiful. I enjoyed a lovely hour here, taking in the sights and having lunch at the picnic area after my much more challenging hike into the Grose Valley in the morning when I visited Victoria Falls.
