Munyunga waraga dhugan walk
Jervis Bay, ACT
6.0 km (1.5 hrs )
★★☆☆☆
'Munyunga waraga dhugan' means 'white-bellied sea eagle’s home camp' in the Dhurga language of the local Aboriginal people. The walk is a 6 km self-guided tour of Booderee’s flora, fauna, culture and history told through the information signs that you will find on the circuit. Along the way there is the opportunity to visit the secluded Murray's Beach, try to spot the penguins of Bowen Island, marvel at the cliffs near Devil's Elbow and enjoy the colours of the area's wildflowers.
This was an interesting longer walk in Booderee National Park, but for those pressed for time, the shorter walks in the national park may allow you to experience the beauty of this area.
