Big Yango is a former farm incorporated into Yengo National Park in 2001. The key feature is Mount Yango, which rises high above the valley in which the property is located and was a significant site for the local Aboriginals. Big Yango Loop is a moderately challenging 4WD track the roughly circles Mount Yango. Most of the track is one way (travel is in an anti-clockwise direction), which makes it easier to drive as you do not have to worry about where to pass, having to reverse etc. Some sections of the track can be washed out and there are a number of sharp switchbacks towards the end.

The unmarked Yango Walk is located off the Management Trail, near the start of the track. The old logging road is now overgrown, but does provide some amazing views from higher up the mountain.

You can only access Big Yango Loop if you have booked a stay at the homestead or either of the two campgrounds. Blue Gums campground is located near the start of the loop, while the smaller Mountain Arm campground is located near the end. Both offer toilets and fire rings on a large, grassed area.
