★★★☆☆

There is much to see on Mount Buffalo, both on the lower slopes as well as on the plateau. Having previously visited the Mount Buffalo Gorge and The Monolith, I decided to explore a new area for me at Cathedral Saddle (1,540 m elevation).

Cathedral Saddle is located approximately 25 km from the park entrance at the base of the mountain. There are walks on both sides of the road - the Le Souef Plateau to the north east that I visited on my walk to The Corral, and the Cathedral - Hump Walk that I did on this walk. The walk climbs to the base of The Cathedral, an impressive granite tor, before continuing to The Hump, with its extensive views over the Mount Buffalo plateau.

The walk is on a well formed track, although there is some rock climbing towards the end at The Hump. Picnic facilities and toilets are located near the carpark at Cathedral Saddle.
