★★★☆☆

Established in the 1824, the town of Richmond was once an important convict station linking Hobart with Port Arthur. The town boasts more than 50 historic buildings, mostly from the 1820s. The convict built sandstone bridge over the Coal River (1825) is probably the most famous of the historic sights, together with the oldest gaol in Australia (1825) and St. Luke's Anglican Church (1835).

I spend a delightful hour strolling the streets of this historic town.
